Housing
Most students who come to Yemen for the first time choose to live in the student-house, which forms part of the main CALES building set in the heart of Old Sana’a.
The house is fully furnished and all residents have access to washing machines, modern kitchens, bathrooms and areas for relaxation and study. Clean sheets and blankets are provided for all rooms. Our cleaning staff looks after the bathrooms, halls and kitchen (excluding dishes and the fridge).
Accommodation fees are paid on a monthly basis and are due on or before the first of the month. Fees for 2009 are as follows.

US$200 |

All students are required to pay a US$15 refundable deposit along with the first installment. This will be refunded in full, with the following exceptions
-
* $5 deduction for a lost key
-
* Room damage due to misuse
-
* Premature termination of the contract without two weeks’ notice

Off-Campus Housing
Students can also rent rooms or apartments privately. Rates begin at around $200 for an apartment, but most accommodation comes completely unfurnished and tenets are expected to buy what furniture they require (including fridge and stove). We recommend that students arrive two week prior to the start of their course if they wish to find private accommodation. Students can also rent rooms in the hotels nearby, although this is usually more expensive.
