"The General Secretariat of the Union of Arabic Universities adopted its decision No. 12 in its 32nd ordinary session (held in Amman Private University from April 13 to 15, 1999) to accept the Yemeni University of Science and Technology, which is a private University, as an acting member in the Union of Arab Universities."

Upon successful completion of each course, students obtain a Certificate of Fulfillment. Credit from the University of Science and Technology is transferable and accepted by various institutions of learning abroad. However, universities outside the Middle East may require pre-consultation.

Students intending to transfer their academic credit are advised to notify their home academic institution well in advance of arrival in Yemen. CALES will aid this process wherever possible. Past students at universities in the USA have successfully transferred class hours at CALES to credit hours that count toward their undergraduate degree.
